Lauretta Obanor is a Psychology graduate and a Fellow of the Psych Foundry Catalyst Programme, where she serves as the Team Lead for Internal Programs and Logistics. She is deeply passionate about understanding human behaviour and applying psychological knowledge to support people, systems, and communities. In her role at the Foundry, Lauretta leads the coordination and execution of internal programmes, ensuring smooth operations and effective collaboration across teams in alignment with PFI’s mission of developing well-rounded psychological professionals.
Lauretta earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Uyo, where she graduated as the best student in her department. Her academic journey strengthened her interest in human behaviour, mental health, and the practical application of psychological principles. During her undergraduate studies, she engaged in research, academic projects, and student-focused initiatives that deepened her understanding of psychology and its relevance to everyday life. She continues to build her knowledge through continuous learning, practical engagement, and reflective growth.
At PFI, Lauretta plays a key role in coordinating internal operations, supporting programme delivery, and fostering effective team collaboration. She enjoys working in dynamic environments where structure, creativity, and purpose intersect. Her professional interests include applied psychology, child development, research, and community-focused interventions. Through her work, she is committed to contributing to meaningful initiatives that promote learning, wellbeing, and sustainable impact.
Outside her professional responsibilities, Lauretta enjoys reflective thinking, learning, and meaningful conversations that inspire growth. She values empathy, integrity, collaboration, and service, and believes that intentional learning is essential to personal and societal development.
