The Psychological Foundry for Human Development Initiative, also known as Psych Foundry Initiative (PFI) and with CAC Registration Number: 8832369, is a nonprofit organisation dedicated to promoting psychology education, practice, and advocacy in Nigeria.

We started as Everything Psych NG (EPNg) on 1 April 2022, offering free tutorials for psychology students across Nigeria during the Great ASUU strike of 2022. We began with three tutors, our founding members: Anthony Ojukwu, David Jack, and Nathanael Yusuf. Over time, we gained additional tutors from Nigeria, India, and the United Kingdom. These tutors significantly enriched us by sharing their extensive knowledge and experience through teaching courses such as Personality Assessment, Physiological Psychology, Research Methods, Statistics, and Abnormal Psychology via Google Meet. Despite the considerable time differences, tutors like Pooja, Hritik, and Nikita from India sacrificed their time to teach us, and for that, we will always be deeply grateful. Over time, we developed into a vibrant community, and in September 2025, we officially registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria to broaden our influence.

We have united with a single purpose: to create a dedicated and professional community for psychologists in Nigeria and beyond. Our foundation is rooted in the relentless effort and shared passion of our founders, who envisioned a platform where professional development, innovation, community service, and ethical practice could flourish.

A foundry is a workshop where raw metal is exposed to intense heat and pressure, melting it down to its basic form and shaping it into something new, strong, and purposeful. This serves as our metaphor for human development. We take raw passion and potential, and through a rigorous process of training, mentorship, and service, we forge competent, resilient, and innovative psychologists who will advance humanity. 

At The Psychological Foundry for Human Development Initiative, we are defined by what we do, how we do it, and why we do it. Our philosophy is the DNA of our organisation, a set of core principles that guide our every decision, from who we admit to how we measure our success. The PFI Difference is rooted in our belief that psychology can contribute to solving humanity's challenges, and that this science must be applied actively, ethically, and collaboratively.

The world has enough guilds—exclusive clubs that protect the interests of those already within. We are building a revolution, and a revolution must be built by and for everyone it seeks to change. Our philosophy is grounded in one unwavering belief: psychological theory is only as valuable as its application. We exist to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world impact. We are committed to fostering a culture of rigorous inquiry, ethical practice, excellent innovation, and tangible results by applying behavioural science for social good. 

We are using psychology as a tool to transform institutions and communities. Our commitment to excellence is unwavering. Ultimately, we aim to enhance the human experience by empowering those who study it, providing a lifelong home where they can continue to learn, collaborate, and apply their expertise for the greater good.
