Nathanael Yusuf is the Co-Founder of The Psychological Foundry for Human Development Initiative (PFI) and an Industrial and Organisational Psychology professional whose work bridges counselling, human resources, and people operations. He earned both his B.Sc. in Psychology and M.Sc. in Industrial and Organisational Psychology from the University of Ibadan, building a strong academic foundation that has guided his career across healthcare, nonprofit, and international consultancy sectors.
He currently works in the Human Resources Department at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, overseeing employee data management, payroll processes, and workforce planning through the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System (IPPIS). Besides his HR role, Nathanael contributes to the future of work globally as a People Operations Community Specialist with Agile PeopleOps, USA, and as a Senior Agile HR/People Operations Scrum Master with Culturelligence LLC, USA. In these roles, he leads international initiatives in agile people practices, organises global conferences, and promotes research on agile HR and people-centred organisations.
Earlier in his career, Nathanael worked as a Counsellor and Recruiter, combining career and mental health counselling with recruitment strategies to build strong volunteer teams. This intersection of psychological expertise, HR practice, and leadership continues to shape his commitment to fostering inclusive, human-centred workplaces that balance organisational success with individual well-being.
Beyond his professional roles, Nathanael is deeply passionate about advancing psychology as a discipline and nurturing the next generation of practitioners. He is committed to mentorship, professional development, and initiatives that expand the reach of psychology in addressing human and community needs.
